Why Is A Borla Exhaust A Good Option?
Borla uses aircraft quality T-304 stainless steel on all of there products so you will never need another replacement! 304 stainless steel is the not commonly used for automotive exhausts and it is a high quality stainless steel, is non magnetic, does not get surface rusting like 409 stainless, and can also resist corrosion much better than regular steel. This type of stainless also has a low electrical conductivity rating and a low thermal conductivity rating. Below you can see the difference in materials between a Borla muffler and a stock replacement type muffler that is not made of stainless steel.
Borla's street mufflers use the same technology as their race mufflers offering a high flow straight through design which offers increased horsepower and torque gains from 7-10% and increased fuel economy in normal driving conditions. Because of this design these mufflers also feature less interior noise (resonance) than that of a Flowmaster that uses baffle technology. The sound created by the Borla muffler is a deep mellow tone.
Based on the technology used to design these mufflers you don't need to use a larger diameter exhaust system to get a louder exhaust this will actually have a reverse effect when using the Borlas. If you were to install a larger pipe size with Borla mufflers you will create the interior drone that these mufflers are designed to lower by the exhaust gasses “bottling up” inside the muffler instead of flowing freely through to the tailpipe to exit quicker. So, if you're looking for the industries “Most Winning Exhaust” on your track or street car swing on by one of our shops in Hyannis, Plymouth, Quincy, and Westport and get the muffler that outlasts the competition and doesn’t need to be replaced!
